about

First of all its pronounced like if you were to say JP and Ian’s names back to back. We tried about a million different spellings. This track was one of three or four takes they did to nothing more than a click track. I knew that with all of Ian and JP’s drum fans out there, this album would not be complete without a separate track for a drum shed. This is also cool for me because since there is no other instrumets other than the silly garageband MIDI loop, I got to mix the drums exactally how I think drums should sound. I love the distorted snare and kickdrum and overheads vibe. So everyone out there, if your thinking I don’t know how to mix drums and use too much distortion plugins on my drums, that’s fine, but that’s how I like it, dirty and distorted. I should probly say again that this entire thing was COMPLETELY improvised and all the takes sounded totally different and this was just our fav. Props to Jaypian. P.S. If you listen to this in headphones it literally feels like JP and Ian talking to eachother. (Ian=Left, JP=Right)
