This song came out of just resampling some elements from "Riverbed." I thought it would be cool if, after the second chorus, it went back to the held out chord from the bridge and morphed into a new song. There are a lot of similarities tone wise: the long guitar delay, the trumpet and clarinet, some of the same pads, and the vocal sound. It's one of those things you might not notice unless someone told you. The string arrangement came from me playing in a bunch of takes of bowed guitar, and then taking those improvised melodies, and orchestrating them across cello, viola, and violin one octave up. Maddie was out of town, so my buddy Ben Walding tracked all ofthe violin in my room, reading the piano roll off the computer screen.

This song is about experiencing infatuation for the first time, and not knowing how to handle it.
